Average rental price in Flanders increased by 2.5% to over 800 euros per month

According to the rental barometer published by the real estate federation CIB, the average rental price in Flanders has risen by 2.5% in the past year to over 800 euros per month. We also read on the site of VRT NWS that the rents for houses have increased even more significantly. This concerns both terraced houses, semi-detached houses and detached houses. "There has been a scarcity of houses on the rental market for years," says Kristophe Thijs of real estate federation CIB. "The demand for these types of homes is the highest, causing the rent to rise. For detached houses, we see an increase of 4 percent and more. On average, these now cost 1,100 euros per month."
