Coronavirus pushes real estate prices to a new record

The Notary Barometer of the Federation of the Notarial Profession shows that houses have become on average 5.7 more expensive in 2020 and apartments 6.8 percent.

"The increase was mainly felt in the second half of 2020. Prices for houses were then on average 7.3 and 5.9 percent higher than in the third and fourth quarter in 2019", says Bart van Opstal, the spokesman for Notaris.be.
