Home Office Trends 2021
2020 is finally behind us and let's be honest… it wasn't easy! We were forced to stay in our house and work from home. This will also be the case for a while in 2021. Why not make your workplace at home extra fun? We searched for the home office trends of 2021. Below a list:
1. More color
Sterile white workplaces are a thing of the past. 2020 has taught us that life is too short and that a dose of color brings more pleasure. Unfortunately, we miss nice and funny colleagues in our home workplace. So make your home office a bit more fun with colorful furniture and accessories.
2. The right seat
Is your desk placed in the living room? Don't choose an "ugly" office chair then, but pick one that also matches your dining table. The space will feel more like a whole. Ergonomics is of course also important, but try to find a good balance here.
3. Lot's of plants
During the pandemic, it was difficult for many people to get out and go for walk into nature. Many people therefore bought many more plants. Many studies also show that plants are good for our health, both mentally and physically. Your productivity can also increase by 15%. Plants will therefore become even more important in the following years.
4. A perfect ‘Zoom’-wall
Nowadays "zoom" is the new thing. You probably recognize it… you are about to start a zoom meeting, but suddenly you realize that there is still a pile of laundry in your background image. Interior designers predict that in 2021 we will see a wave of stylish walls with beautiful bookshelves and photo walls to take the zoom meetings to the next level.
5. Noise reduction
Since we are all at home, we also often suffer from disturbing noises from housemates. Headphones can provide noise cancellation, but other acoustic solutions are also gaining importance. Just think of carpeting, curtains or acoustic panels.
